It all matters. I have the same coloring as you and wear a light pink or beige eye shadow and a berry tinted gloss. One of the keys I have seen Kevin Aucoin use is that when you go dark on the eyes go light on the lips and visa versa. Dark eyes and lips is too gauche.

Ok, I am going to give you 3 different combinations of make up you could wear;
1.dark purple eye shadow ( don't go right up too your eyebrow that would look strange, just go to the crease where your eyelid stops ),black eyeliner ( not too thick ) and mascara for your eyes. If you are doing this don't go dark with the lips just use some light gloss, and maybe a hint of blusher on the cheek bones ( less the lower they are )
2.blood red lipstick to make your lips really stand out, no blusher if you do this because it will take the focus away from the lips, however you can use some gold eye shadow ( preferably sparkling ). Don't use eye liner with gold eye shadow it doesn't look gr8, however you can use mascara, but not too thick.
3.If you want that pale geisha princess look, then go for light blue eye shadow ( really soft and subtle ), clear lip gloss and maybe a hint of blusher ( but only very pale pink and again don't put too much on if you have lower cheek bones ).
I hope this helps, my best friend has the same problem and I'm always giving her new ideas!! good luck!
P.S: If you are looking to impress a guy they usually like no.2!

That depends more on what tones your hair and skin have. If your hair is a dark brown with reddish tones, try using mauve shades, or warm browns. For your lipstick, wear a sheer gloss in a warm shade, something in sheer berry or warm brown.
If your skin has pinkish undertones, try cooler colors. You can use cool browns, and sometimes grey. Your lips will probably look best in a few shades darker than your natural lip color.
Either way, you should be able to pull off some bright colors, especially lime greens and and vibrant pinks, if you are brave enough to play with that much color. Even if you use a sheer lime green eyeshadow with a brown eyeliner, it should compliment your skin and eyes. Good luck!

Very soft natural colors. Anything to dark and over dramatic will be very unappealing. Suggestions: AVON or Mark Products.
Make sure you start with a smooth complexion and blend, no harsh lines. Alot of my customers with light skin use Mark Products instead of Avon products, just because they are targeted to teens and the products are light and sheer colors with a hints of shimmer and look very very nice on their light colored skin tone.

I, too, have dark hair and light skin. If you have darker brown hair, try neutral colors like browns, tans, greens, and maybe lighter purples and colors like that. If you have black hair, try more bold colors like blue, but don;t overlad it!
Also, DuWop makes special makeup kits for specific eye colors. Go to www.sugardaisy.com for the product. They're a bit pricy, but they're well worth it.

You could easily carry off smokey eyes and eyeliner would suit you well. Also crimsons and light pinks. Golds are also a good idea as they can bring out colour (almost like having a slight tan) if you put them in the right areas.

Greens, browns, some purples. Dont over do the color thing, just keep it natural and dont heap it on either. (Ex:not to much eyeliner) Try contacting a Mary Kay consultant. They can help with matching colors and seeing what colors look good on you.
