Does anyone know why people throw coins on Billy the Kids gravesite?

Money left at graveside goes back to the coins left with the dead in ancient Greece to pay Charon, ferryman over the River Styx -- the price of transport to the Underworld.

That's interesting question never heard of it and i have been to his grave several times. He's buried with Thomas Ofallard and Charlie Bowdry I have never seen coins on them but i can guess it's a luck thing. Billy was a murderous little guy and he was also the one who made the slang word ''PALS'' that was the three of them. Read the history of the Lincoln county wars.
