No. Assuming things often leads to disaster.
Try this: Unplug the machine and see if the flickering stops.
If it doesn't then yes it is possessed.
Seriously - The fluorescent bulb is going out or has lost good contact. Inanimate objects don't get possessed. My understanding is that possession's by demon's do not occur any longer.
