my mom got me Depeche Mode "Music for the Masses"--cassette actually, but I will forever be thankful (because she passed 10 years ago) because she knew exactly what I would like even before I thought about it. she was so great at picking out music gifts for me.

Happy Birthday!
I usually don't get CD's for my birthday, and when I do it's usually a couple of weeks after. The only CD I've ever got ON my birthday was If Only You Were Lonely by Hawthorne Heights. I think the late birthday present CD's I've gotten are a lot better, though. Probably the best would be Meteora by Linkin Park, which came out like 2 weeks after I turned 16.
Oh, and I'm in GA!

i offered myself an iPod for my thirtieth birthday. i offered it in March, and my birthday isn't till June. i had to spend Spring destroy (i'm a instructor) loading all my CD's onto it, so i ought to get excitement from it on my birthday. there's no longer something incorrect with treating your self to a minimum of something you particularly need. Be grateful, however, curiously such as you have 4 generations of kin all at the same time. My hubby's grandma died 4 years in the past. It grew to become into marvelous to have all and sundry around...

A very good friend of mine made me a CD for my birthday containing all the number ones that were on my actual birthday, starting at the year i was born to the year he gave it to me.....35 songs in total on 3 cds. very good cds and i play them a lot as it takes me through the decades. Some good memories of parties through the years. Happy New Year from uk

I've only ever gotten a CD for my birthday once...and it was Renegades by Rage Against The Machine.
Seriously I could have done better with any other Rage album.

My favorite cd I ever got for my birthday was King's X, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska. My cousin gave it to me.....awesome band
