A few months ago, after an annual physical, my physician said I had low testosterone. My score was 253, and the "normal" range was 500-600. He put me on Andro-Gel, and now I have gone back for testing and my score actually fell to 134.

What causes low testosterone? Is there anything I can add to my diet that will improve it?

Any food that has more zinc in it will help. You can also try zinc supplement.

Eat lots of pumpkin seeds; can find them in chinese grocery stores. Eat lots of raw carrots; eat whole carrots in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening... be a rabbit.

and finally , if you add running/jogging, then you will have a good healthy life.

Keep going to the doctor about it.

But really, there's nothing you can do except take supplements. Maybe the Gel isn't the answer. It is possible to take oral testosterone, but it is VERY dangerous to do it without the supervision of a doctor.

Perhaps you need to suggest to your doctor that shots are in order. I have personally seen and heard of excellent results with the shots once a week or so.

I'm not aware of anything you could eat to increase testosterone.
