Yes... I've counted them.
6 the difference between me and my lover.
1 year since my dad died.
4 the difference between my age and that of my best female friend.
4 years since I've seen my mom.
6 years since I've seen my brother.
Luckily of us, one year is not equal to any other. There are always those times when our growth is accelerated... emotional puberty, if you will. I think that's why we can meet on common ground. One year is never equal to any other.

Yes and it makes me feel bad because even after 8 years, I still love the one I got separated from! :( (The military separated us and we could never reconnect!)

well i was separated from my mother for 3 yrz... and there was not a single day when i didnt miss her..
i kinda cried in most of the occasions too... like when i got my drivers license.. i missed her.. etc etc
but touch wood.. until now thatz the max no. of yrz i was separated from my loved one
hehe :)

no, i just try to start thinking of them more as a friend and then eventually i convince myself they are really a friend.
