What to do with you kids while they are on winter break?

I have 4 kids from the age 9 to 9months. What can I do to have fun with them. We have worn out our board games. And it's pretty cold outside.They play thier video games but I just feel like I'm not being active enough with them.Help boreing mom

Try to go outside fora while each day even though it may be cold out. But you can also become a member of the ymca and go there for a while, there are play stuctures, stuff for you too do, but it may be heckit there. You could always take them to relatives or friends with kids, or they can come over. I know a nine year old and his friends come over and play hockey inside. Or do a craft like decorate shirts or mitts, you go and just get a cheap shirt from zellers or superstore and decorate them. Try to do something as a family, go mini golfing inside, or swimming, even go skating or tobboganning. Good Luck and happy holidays!

Tackle football is always fun, but since I am working to the new year. If they say they are bored and don't know what to do I tell them to do chores and clean the house. Its a vigorous exercise and keeps them warm to, teaches them responsibility and helps you. If you must you can turn it into a game, though thats hard.

We had our kids (5yrs and 7 yrs ) design how to decorate their rooms. We searched on-line for poster ideas, then we made drawings. We went to the hardware store to pick out paint chips. We even bought them each a notebook where they could cut and paste pictures out of magazines and catalogs to create their own idea books. We are having a blast...
