First thing you do is charge the bat. and as you hear the ticking pull out a fuse at a time until it stops. Or remove the kick panel and under st, wheel panel and try to find the stuck relay giving you greif. It may be the relay, or bad wiring to the bad relay. But identify it first, the go fr. there. Just for the hell of it check the connector under the st. wheel for the ignition (it a fairly large connector) and see if its burnt. A serv. bulliten was issued for Tauruses burning up fr faulty ign. switches, but I`m not sure up to which year.

Sounds like a relay ticking. Take down the panel that covers the wire and such under the dash . Look for and listen for where the noise is coming from .A relay is either round or square .If you find the one making the noise look in your owns Manuel and find out what it does. Then you'll have to di from there. Quick fix so you don't have to charge battery all the time disconnect the battery when you park the car over night

Had this problem once before on a '95 Taurus, seems it involves the HVAC unit and a blend door actuator is actually sticking and causing the battery drain, GOOD LUCK with a DYI repair as it involves removing the entire dash/instrument panel assembly. SEEMS IT TAKES over 15 BOOK HOURS TO REMOVE AND INSTALL NEW PART.

something is on. check the fuses they are under the dash on the drivers side. Do you have an automatic headlamp switch? that might be the problem.
