QuickTime is Apple's version of Windows Media Player. Nothing will happen if you remove it. It is not needed if you do not want it.

You use it to watch video online. There's QuickTime, RealPlayer and WindowsMedia -= all 3 are different video file players.
The sick thing about QT is that it launches qttask.exe which has been know to hog CPU usage and slow your machine down.
If that's your problem, do a search for qttask.exe to find out how to rename/delete it from your Windows Registry. Doesn't affect the playing of QT videos.

It's a video player like Windows Media Player. It's not necessary for your system.

Quicktime is a media player produce by Apple. You do need it run certain video files on the Internet and on some CDs.

Do you have iTunes installed?
If you then best to leave QuickTime alone.
If not then you can delete if you really want to, but why would you want to cut yourself off from playing .mov files?

quick time is just another thing that you can play your music on and watch online viedos. if you have something that you like to play your music on already then you dont need to have it. but it isnt doing anything to your computer so you dont have to delete it just leave it be, thats what i do. but you dont really need it, so whatever

If you use iTunes you need it! ITUNES WILL BREAK WITHOUT IT!
If you watch MOV files you need it!
other than that, you can get rid of it.
It's a media player made by apple.

QuickTime allows you to play .mov files (it can also play many other types too).
