It's too bad Gerald Ford couldn't "fix" Bush's Mess like he "fixed" Nixon's Mess!

God Bless his Soul.

Bush does tend to make me sick to my stomach any time he tries to speak. I try not to listen to anything he says.
I think it was sad that Bush made a speech, when in all likelyhood he doesn't even remember those days. Carter became a friend of Ford, and should have been the one to speak.
If I were Bush, I would look at the reasons why Ford became the President in the wake of the Watergate scandal for starters. He should be shaking in his boots if he'd look at history.

Chucky and Lucky tell me exactly what Ford did? Pardoned Nixon? Nixon had already set into motion the US leaving Vietnam...obviously you were not around when this happened...for years Ford has been the butt of jokes on how dumb he was, and how he snuck in to being President...I hate to see anyone die, but he was not the saint of a President I see Liberals on this site making him out to be today...History is a easy thing to read about...not just what you hear on TV...I remember the Media outlets making fun of Ford in the late 70's...actually cry baby Liberals make me sick to my stomach...and I am a moderate...

I refuse to watch Bush speak anymore. It's too embarrassing. I was a kid when Nixon resigned - I remember seeing the newspaper while I was playing on the beach and everyone talking about it. I liked Ford - not sure about his pardoning Nixon though, but Ford was a pretty good guy. Bush, on the other hand, is just embarrassing.

No, but questions like this are getting a bit tiresome. Don't members of the Bush Smear Campaign ever take a day off?

the White residing house issued a proclamation at the instant keeping a million/2/2007 as a countrywide Day of Mourning, yet would not point out if the day can be a federal holiday. Proclamation link indexed.

Ford really didn't "fix" Nixon's mess. One of the reasons he didn't get re-elected, is because he pardoned Nixon, and people were sincerely ticked about it.

So you are saying that you would want Bush pardoned?

Bush is just hoping the next president will be as much of a "gentleman" (or gentlelady) as Ford, so he can get his own neck pardoned. But, then again, on January 20, 2009, at 10:30am, Bush could sign his own pardon for gross constititional violations during the period of September 11, 2001, to January 20, 2009.

He can ride off into the sunset a free man as he gives America the finger!

I don't listen to Bush, so... no.

I'm surprised Bush even knows what a president is.
