Does anybody have info on glass lantern slides of the first world war. I have a collection that I am researching and need some help.

this is a boxed set of 80 slides, I went to the IWP but they had never seen this set before. Does anybody else have a set like this.

There are many on ebay for sale. Perhaps those that are selling them can answer what you need to know. Just do a search for glass lantern slides, they'll pop up :)

I'm not clear what you want to know. Glass lantern slides were the precursors of the transparencies we take today (or did until digital came along). Do you want to know how to project them - you will need an old fashioned magic lantern, if so, with a carrier for the size of slides you have. If you want to know what the slides show, then without seeing them, that's impossible to answer. Best thing would be to take them to your nearest military or war museum (Imperial War Museum if you are in UK and near London)
