A virus called Trojan.Caiijing keeps reappearing even when my antivirus has blocked and removed it many times. I've followed the removal procedure twice but it still keeps coming back. Does anyone know what i have to do to get rid of it completely?

It may have altered your anti-virus so it will not find it. Try a online scan at Trendmicro. It it still comes back get HijackThis. Both links are below.

Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Download HijackThis---http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis. Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. You will then get a screen that will tell you if you have any nasty stuff in your computer. Follow instructions to deal with any nasties. CAUTION: This is a very powerful tool. Be careful.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Trojan is a type of virus that hides until activated. As for removing it. you can try any of the methods above, or you can try going to http://www.avast.com/eng/update_avast_4_vps.html download it, install it, and have it do a boot scan and it should take care of it. If not you can always format your drive and reinstall your system settings but doing a system restore with the restore disk however this will remove EVERYTHING from your harddrive and restore everything to it's original manufacture settings and software load. Either method should work to get rid of the trojan

This virus masquerades as google toolbar and will need to be removed by accessing the registry and removing it from there

Click Start > Run.
Type regedit
Click OK.

Note: If the registry editor fails to open the threat may have modified the registry to prevent access to the registry editor. Security Response has developed a tool to resolve this problem. Download and run this tool, and then continue with the removal.

Navigate to and delete the subkeys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\{12365484-96a1-6974-3269-123555124655}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{12365484-96a1-6974-3269-123555124655}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Google.SetGoogle
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Google.SetGoogle.1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{12365484-96a1-6974-3269-123555124655}

Exit the Registry Editor.
