i would say they both do the job that they are designed for if you are typing a letter in word, your PC will only go as fast as you type. so in my eye they are the same when it comes to that. i would advise you to get the CPU that suits what you want to use your PC,there is no point in spending £5000 on a PC that can play the latest games if all you want to do is type in word , so it depends what you want out of a PC

Of course man............. Intel is the leading processors in the market. Centrino is just mobile technology which is only used in laptops. And Dual Core is the bestestestestest processor ever. It has double core and is 40% efficient and 40% less power consuming as compared to Intel Pentium 4. I would recommend u Intel Duo Core(of course if you can afford it, its quite expensive).

AMD Turion 64 x2. Reason being AMD are the best processors because they are up to date and are so much better for overclocking. AMD have always been ontop of intel always have been and always will!
