my son is 7 months and half.the fontanelle closed at 3 months.the x ray shows that suchers are opened, but doctors do not all agree about that.some see the two at the sides are slightly opened, others see the one at the back started to close.the one at the front has already closed.head size is 43 cm,which is ok for his age,but the shape is unusual, the forhead is quite pointing.the baby's development is very well.doctors say we will have to make an operation to open the skull or so.the question is,,,i don't know which doctor should makae the operation,,nuerosurgeon,or plastic surgeon,or both together with pediatric surgeon??any experience please??and if u can tell me more about it.thanks a lot.

It sounds to me that you need a medical dictionary and an unbias medical opinion. But really you are his parent go with your gut instinct. I think you are right about all those different surgeons being present during the surgery, because it sounds like this child is going to need the expertise of each one of these doctors. I wish you well. And I know that by personal experience that you will make the right choice for child.
