Well of course....... lots of patients, love, and plenty of rest when possible (you'll need it, because you'll be up for the next 18 years!)
MOST IMPORTANT: Tons in all sizes, diapers and wipes!!!!!
clothes (socks especially, their little feet need to stay warm!), baby soaps and lotions, rash cream (you never know), blankets (spit up ones as well) an over sized diaper bag! Bottles and a bottle brush, A car seat, (you can't leave the hospital without one!) and THE BEST OF WISHES TO YOU!

LOVE
Lots of diapers and changes of clothing.
Plenty of little wash cloths and wipes.
Lots of diapers and changes of clothing.
You should also get one of those little medical kits for babies. It would have a baby thermometer, a suction bulb (if they get congested), and a few other things if the baby gets a little sick.
Lots of diapers and changes of clothing.
Bottles if you are not breastfeeding. You need breast pads for yourself if you don't want the embarrassment of leakage.
Did I mention lots of diapers and changes of clothing? Sleepers are good to have on hand at all times. Never go anywhere without changes of clothing for the baby.
Best wishes to you and baby.
