Please stay away from herbal/natural remedies for your infant.
Medications, even over the counter ones have to pass Food and Drug Adminstration guidelines for safety, effectiveness and appropriateness of usage. The production of herbal remedies is not overseen by any governing board, and have no safety testing done. The company selling them may have done some testing, but then they have a great deal at risk, and can skew the results.
If your precious baby is ill or seems miserable, please, please consult her doctor. Her health is not something that you should try to take short-cuts or experiment with.

I don't think that you are supposed to give herbal remedies to a baby that young. You really should ask your Dr before you give her anything, herbal or store bought. I would try a humidifier or take her into the bathroom while running a hot shower, that could help her congestion. You can try Tylenol for aches or pain. I would talk to your Dr though because alot of herbal remedies and store bought meds are not for babies her age.

Saline nasal drops (available at the drugstore or you can make your own, but the dispenser is nice if you buy them). Are safe for all ages, flush out what is there and prevent infection. They are just salt water.

Take your baby into the bathroom while you take a hot shower, the steam will help.

Give her tummy time, I know she will probably scream but even just 2-3 minutes can clear a lot of mucous. Put her bed up on an incline by using books to prop up the LEGS. Never prop a baby up on pillows.

I don't know where you live but my son had that all the time, to where I had to rush him to the ER and they said, even bundling him up and taking him outside to breathe the cool air for 5 minutes would help. Also, cool mist humidifers.

Little Ones makes natural remedies but check and see if they're suitable for a 2 month old, I didn't give my son anything until he was about 5 months old

good luck!

well, if she's congested, then you can try saline nose drops (i use "ayr" drops for my baby). just drop a few drops in and it will help thin her mucus and you can either suck it out with a boogger sucker or just let it in there to do it's stuff.
my pediatrician also said i can use a humidifier, just be sure you keep it clean so you aren't putting mold or spores into the air. it will help moisturize her air in her room so she won't be so stuffy.
have you tried vapor baths and vapor rub??

herbs aren't always wise, especially when it's for your baby. herbs are still fairly unknown for even adults to use, let alone a tiny baby.

so, take care and also, she may just have a cold and may need to see the dr if it presists.

take care:)

Please be careful with herbal or other "natural" remedies. They are actually "crude", I'm sure there hasn't been much testing on babies, and the biggest reason......these remedies are the "fad" right now, but there has been no long term studies on them. Don't know if it'll cause problems with your baby later on in life.

Try taking her into the bathroom and running hot water to make steam. Get a humidifier and put a little lavendar in the water...It will soothe her....

Yep its called gripe water. I used it with my daughter and it worked wonders. http://www.blissbymom.com/?gclid=CKTW3dils4kCFSgDYgod7iJdUw
It doesn't have alcohol in it. Some people think it does but it doesn't. It has Purified Water, fennel, ginger, and some other natural herbs. Hope this helps you. You usually can get it at any health food store, if they don't have it I think you can order it fromt he site itself.
