How do I make my wheel covers fit?

I have an 00 civic, and I'm trying to fit wheel covers on it, but they seem to be a little big. The sizes are right, so please don't answer that. Is there any trick I can do to slip them on a little easier?

put one side in and use a rubber mallet have someone help you hold in the side you put in first
