It's not a psychic ability or anything. It is more of a feeling or vibe that you get from a certain person that indicates that that person is gay. Sometimes, I feel I have gaydar. A person's mannerisms play a part, but for me, the best indication is a person's reaction to stimuli. A reaction is usually involuntary, and happens without much attention to it. Sometimes, when I see a person react to something in a particular way, it makes me think that they are gay or not. I can't really describe it, but when I see it, I know it. Now, the method is not foolproof, but it is rather effective.

It's just a power of observation that's tuned into the personal attributes of a person which indicate or suggest that the person is gay. I think those who are gay have stronger gaydar, obviously, because we know what we're "looking for" in the person. I'm not talking about what kind of shoes the person is wearing -- but more an inate way in which a person carries oneself, facial expressions, inflection, etc. Metrosexuals do a great job of throwing off good gaydar.

It can be real for some people, but you can always fail... a person who says it has gaydar, usually acert, because of their good eye to get details....but they can fail

no. not psychic ability. it's just...intution. some people are good at paying attention to details. who they hang with, where they hang out...small signs. i have great gaydar, but i also hang around many gay/lesbian friends. and being bisexual myself, i find it pretty easy to pick up on people who are gay.
it's something that people either have...or don't. -haha-

Gay guys,lesbians and open minded straight women tend to have a built in 'gaydar'.If your gay like me,then its just a feeling you get.Its seeing into someones soul for that brief moment in time.You just know.Don't get me wrong,my Gaydar does malfunction...hehe.Ive fallen for more straight guys than gay ones..

If you spend some time around alot of gays you get to where you can look down the street and tell a guy is gay just by his posture. It's weird but true. I'm sure there are other tells.
