Make an appointment to see a counselor at the college - they should be able to help you.
Also, if you did well on your SAT's that will help.
Another option may be to go to Junior College for a year and get good grades - transferring isn't that hard. (at least in CA.)
Best of luck!

You can give it a shot, but they usually are really hard on high school kids with a GPA less than 3.5. Your best bet is to go to a 2 year college and get all the basic college courses out of the way, then transfer to GA State U. If you get decent grades in college and maintain 2.5-3.0 a lot of colleges will take you. My brother did horrible in high school, went to a 2 year college for 2 semesters (1 year) and had a 3.0 GPA, and was accepted by Penn State. They are easier on college transfers than high school grads.

Find a small junior college to get you started. College is a big jump and most people should start there no matter what their GPA. If I would have I'd be an Engineer not an office manager at a small company. After a couple semesters of good grades, transferring will be easy. It probably doesn't sound great now, but you'll thank yourself later.

The best thing to do is talk to admission counselors at GASU. They are the ones that will let you know whether or not you will get in so ask them for help. If they tell you that you may need to go to a community college that's fine too because you can transfer and when you graduate the degree will be only for GASU. Trust me, I went to community college because of financial reasons, but I did my work and was able to transfer to a University.

I don't know GA state U's admission standards, but in general, many universities will also consider other factors, such as your extracurricular activities or community involvements, jobs (part time, full time, summer) and leadership positions you've held. You can include a mention of those in your application. In the meantime, nail those last courses, which will increase your GPA and also show that you got more serious in the last term. That factor also helps. Good luck!

Where there is a will, there is a way. First directly apply or see if they have a merit system program where you would prove that you can do the work by maintaining a certain GPA. If that doesn't work, then you could always transfer in after a year or two in another school.

You may need to take a course at a community college before attending your 4 yr school. this will get you the best results. Make sure any classes you take at the community college will transfer over smoothly to your 4 yr school. :-)

I guess it's depends on your SAT scores now.
You should talk to your advisor or an advisor from the school you want to get in.
They will have better answers for you.
