To renew your IP, open a Command Prompt window and type

ipconfig /renew

I tried to do the same thing through Windows once, and it failed, but worked through command prompt. Go figure.

I'm assuming your running a router. If you go to network connections, right click and select properties, the go to tcp/ip and right click that. From there you can configure your ip settings. Without knowing what your other computers are configured, or what type of router, I would say its probably somewhere along the range of 192.168.1.xxx (with the last being anything from 2 to 254) the subnet will be 255.255.255.0, your default gateway would be 192.168.1.1 and your DNS will be 192.168.1.1. Good luck.
