Yes, you just need to pipe the water over to it from either the sink or the dishwasher-- they have little tiny plastic tubing for this exact purpose.

Yes you can! Make a trip to your local hardware store and purchase an "ice maker kit". These kits generally come with 25 feet of 1/4" plastic tubing and a saddle valve that easily attaches to any water line. If you can afford to spend about $10 on an icemaker kit and you can read simple instructions, you could complete this project yourself in 15-30 minutes.

Stand alone drink dispensers which sit inside the fridge are available. Of course you have to take them out of the fridge to re-fill them. I've one that came with an Electrolux fridge. It's like a plastic box with a filling flap on top and a tap with push button on the side/bottom. Not exactly swish, but it works.

Yes mine is over 6m from the connection, best to do most of the pipework in 15mm though, otherwise the thinner plastic as supplied causes quite a reduction in flow, and it will take forever to fill a glass!

yes! you just have to get a water hose.... to reach where you need it to go.... stop by your local hard ware store...home depot and explain to them what you want to do....

the next time you get a drink you'll know that you did it. and a good job it was....
