Human Nature I suppose, I do my best to never do that...but in the end I still do :(

Our experiences usually teach us about people. Even though we are often wrong when we pre-judge, I think that most of the time we are right.

For instance, I have dealt with enough lazy bums and freeloaders in my life to spot them a mile away. I don't even have to know someone very well to determine whether or not I should allow them to live in my house. But then again, there have been times where I have turned away someone that I really could have helped thinking that there was no hope for them. I later discovered that someone else helped them get on the feet without incident.

It's not so much human nature as it is personal upbringing. People judge others not only based on their own personal experiences, but also their education level, their social status, and the way they were raised. Human judgement is a learnt behavior, it's not pre-existant. It may also have a little to do with the whole fight or flight theory - judge others before they judge you.

it's human nature.. a natural curiosity to want to know a person that looks and seems interesting to us. As long as your judgment doesn't make you know want to interact with the person, it shouldn't be a problem. Just try not to think about the person and realize what your doing when your judging them, and then stop! Sometimes, the oddest people are the best...not the beautiful and popular..

Stereotyping. Something stolen at work it must be the low income or the cleaner. They are minimum wage and no means
to fight back. I've seen them let go with a drummed up excuse after years of faithful service with no proof of being the one who did the stealing. The labour board is a joke. With no union or means to fight back the person is out of luck. Even people they thought were friends turn away.

cos people go by their first responce ,which causes us to see the out side of a person and not the inner ,ie you might not like the clothes ,or the hair ,or even the wy a person stand ,but untill you get to know a prson properly you never know anything ,i always try not to do this ,as its bad to take your own thoughts about someone, with out actualy knowing them ,i have a friend whos nothing to look at ,her house is a mess ,and shes very loud ,not most peoples cup of tea ,but after getting to know her shes the most truethfull ,careing person i have ever met,,,,it just goes to say we can never judge anyone ,,i know me asa person ,i know what makes me tick ,but you do not know me ,yet you want me to answer this question ,so why read my answer and take on board what i say ,as you could be judging me and thinking to yourself i could never get on with this person ,because they said this or that ,,,you have to be open minede and not many people are ,its a shame ,i wounder how many good life time friends we have just let go by us because we couldnt see through the outer shell of a person ,,,no matter what lives we live or where we come from ,or what colour our skin ,we could be very loverly people,
we have to look at the person ,not what you see,,,,i never dislike anyone unless they do something thats not aceptable to me or something to harm others around me ,i try and see people at face value,,,,i meet a young boy who lived on the streets ,he looked terrible ,,,,i bought him some chips and a drink and stoo talking to him ,he told me his story as to how he ended up on the streets,it was a tear gerker,,i felt so bad for him that i went every day to help feed him i wanted to bring him home and give him a chance ,my husband said no he could kill us in our sleep ,but after a whiole bthe boy had gone i found out later a lady who kept a boarding house tolk him in ,bless him ,,,,,but to look at him ,with out taking the time to talk to him people were crossing the road to avoid him that was terrible i will never to this to another human being as long as i live ,people where judging him ,,,but he was a good lad down on his luck ,,we should all open our eyes more and really see ,not just assume that what we see and feel is real cos a lot of the time we are sooooo very wrong ,,,,thanks for this question it was a very very good one all the best kat

if we just take a minute 'n think then we'll never do it.

It's because that is how most of us are. We assume what they are like based on how they look since that is all that we usually know about them.

Its so much easier to just look at person, their attire, hairstyle, manner of speaking and "classify them" -also wrong.
Thankfully, we don't all do that.
