this is a consistent problem.after pressing f1key only my windowxp system starts loading.i want to know why it is like this.

hi vatsal d it is quit possible your cmos battery has gone bad it is not expensive to replace well worth a try your motherboad manual will show you its location make sure you get the correct voltage default settings in your bios will load when you reboot hope this helps

I agree with Rjohnson.
1> Try to do work in safe mode and then debug
2> Try to restore to a back date by using Restore.
If you have done these things and found no result then try to format the C drive after keeping your files in backup.

It sounds as if you have a partition set up to prompt at startup.
