Definitely that is what I majored in! For secondary you will need an additional teaching subject as they require thaat you have two (I have English and Family Studies for instance) then you apply for teacher education at a university or college (teachers college is what its called in Canada however I went to Buffalo for mine as it was closer to me and it was a Teacher Certification Program at D'Youville) anyways that is only an 8 month program then you will be certified to teach! Good luck

Good question I would think you need a degree in Secondary Teaching but, thats for regular English. For good luck finding a high school that will allow you to teach creative writing, it's a great idea but schools are so stuck in thier We only read Beuwolf and The Great Gatsby ways, I hate those stupid books becasue I had to read them 100 times between high school and college

Yes, but you will need to take training to become a teacher. This may be a BEd (to move up in the system (promotions) you will need an MEd), or a teaching certificate issued by an accredited school/college.
Best of luck, you are needed.

Yes, you will need to go back and get your teaching certification. Basically you just complete all the education courses that you will need to meet the state requirements to teach on the secondary level.
