rec'd ltr & cashier's check for $2950.00 from prudential financial ottawa, Ontoria, Canada stating won 50K of #1.8 million $. Is this a scam or legit?

"If it's too good to be true, it probably is" If you don't remember entering the contest, how can you win? Sounds like a scam. Read the fine print as it's probably a loan, not a sweepstakes.

This is a big scam. I do hope you didn't send them any money, or give them any personal information. You may have big trouble if you did. spam this mail, or delete it and don't open any more if you don't know who they are from!
