Watching the telecast last night it was so obvious why she bailed-- she was seriously outclassed and outsung by people with real talent-- but who's amazing performance wouldn't have made it if her rendition of 9 to 5 had made it to the telecast.

Whose performance-- who made it into the final airing-- would've been cut for time to keep hers?

Agree about the talent factor (or lack thereof). Even a duet with Tiny Tim & Gilbert Gottfried would have been a better option than Jessica. They could have replaced her with a lip-synching mannequin or a test pattern with no problems. Inviting a C-lister like her to sing at a Kennedy Center Honors event is like asking Flavor Flav to be a keynote speaker at the U.N. Wow, between that and her ex-husband's record outselling hers, '06 was not Jessica's year.

She wouldn't have replaced anyone, she was a featured performer, but blew her rehearsals several times and withdrew. She was wise to do so, for as you said, she was seriously outclassed.
