Probably pregnant but there is a thing called an evaporation line. I just found this site, check it out, it has some good info.

The dark line is a control line. It's always there and dark basically to compare the other line to when you test. The second line determines whether or not you're pregnant. It will usually be fainter than the control line. A faint line can be a false positive or it could be faint because you tested to early. Take a second test, but wait a few more days before you take it. If it's still faint and you're unsure of the results, go to your doctor and take a blood test.

Good luck!

The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

Most of the time (say 95% of the time) it means PREGNANT, but then again, there's still a slight chance that the result was an ERROR because of the "fainted" line. So it's better to try again, carefully following the pregnancy test instruction, or if you really want to be 100% sure, go to a clinic for the test.

Two lines always mean a pregnancy is present regardless if one line is faint or not.

That's a positive result--that second line will not appear at all unless the person taking the test is pregnant.

It means that HCG has been detected in the urine. HCG is only produced when a woman is pregnant, and the line, no matter how prominent or how faint, indicates that it's there.

At this point, it would be best to see a physician to have it confirmed.

where is the faint line. if it where the negative line should be, then it is a negative and doesn't matter if it is lighter than the other indicator line. if it is where the positive line should be and is a lighter shade than the other indicator line than it is propably still positive, everyone has different hormone levels.

Positive-a line is a line.
If you want to eliminate the question, use the digital test.
