Hey, i was wondering if there was anyone out there living in Chicago from the LA area? I live in Manhattan Beach, but i am moving to Chicago (for the hell of it). Possibly Wrigleyville. My buddy had a transfer out that way, so I will be joining along for the ride. Any advice? Im a hardcore surfer so i have no idea how i am going to deal without the beach, but i heard Lake Michigan is as close to the ocean as you can get without living on the coast..anyways, take care.

I have a good friend from LA (well, Orange County) who lives here in Chicago. He said one of the hardest things to get used to is that the water is on the "wrong side," which you have to keep in mind while driving west or east.

Chicago and LA are very different cities. LA has beautiful scenery in its natural surroundings. Chicago's beauty comes from the city itself - amazing skyscrapers, the lake, and beautiful parks. LA is a driving city. Chicago thrives on walking and public transportation. LA is image driven. Chicago is work driven. LA has celebrities. Chicago does too, but it's much more low key - Jennifer Aniston can walk around town, and people will say, "Hey, Jennifer," to her, without the fuss that occurs in LA. LA has beautiful weather. Chicago has - well, except this year so far - devastating winters, but beautiful summers.

Lake Michigan isn't the ocean, either. Oh, sure, you can't see across it, and it has waves - but not surfing waves. But there's still lots of sports on the lake, including sailing.

You'll probably like Chicago. My friend from LA does. He says it has all the things to do that Los Angeles does, but more manageably organized, and he finds the women here more approachable. Also, Chicago's a fun, young town, and the Wrigleyville area is terrific. But you'll find it's very different from Los Angeles.

the answer for your question is elementary...She lost comprehend of human beings there because the city tried to bend over backwards for her yet she replaced right into a (positioned a B in the front) a itch. She staged a Michigan street get at the same time for her self with the cities approval, it replaced right into a bypass if she lent her help to in search of a Olympic bid. She extremely omitted the settlement. the city then refused another pastime she has expressed to them. She is spoiled and his dropping her target audience in Chicago and thinks she will be able to bypass to the cable community and are available across a syndicated target audience on that channel. Oprah's days the position numbered because she is a pretend !
