I think, it's just a part of the big plan someone has for us. I'm just gonna go with it, cause you can't stop it!

Well you hear from some people after you die you go to hell or heaven. Some people belive in re-incarnation. My thoughts on this is, are we not living in hell right now? People killing people, wars, backstabbing etc. SO many diseases that have not been cured, therefore people suffer. IF this is the party...well hate to see what is at the end.

The truth is no one knows what's it's like when you die except those that have already died. We can only hope and prey it's a good after life and not a worse hell. I agree with others that I'm a little afraid of how I'm going to die. I mean no one wants to suffer a long drawn out death.

I do like to think since we were given the ability to dream and perceive a life after there must be a reason for it you know.

Thinking about death is an indicator of dissatisfaction with life. If your life were at peace than there would be no worry about death. I say, "I can't die. I have so much left to do."

The party is over thing is just a chosen perspective. This perspective is directly related to your life and your view of it. Have you ever met someone who is atheist, and did they have a lot of joy in their life?

I am not saying you can't have joy in your life if you are atheist. What I am saying is that your life view and death view are coupled. This coupling is directly relational to how you choose to view the world.

The best to you in all the choices you make,
Joe

My party will never be over! One day this physical part of my existence will end, as it's supposed to, but my consciousness will go on eternally. I may choose to reincarnate in some other physical form in a physical plane, but as an entity, I live forever. Party on dude!

Sounds like a good theory. I'm not really afraid of dying, because I figure two things might happen #1--There'll be a Heaven, and then hey, cool! or #2- There'll be nothing, and then we won't know the difference anyway.
--I am afraid of HOW I'm going to die, though. I'm terrified at the thought of being in pain.

I'm okay with knowing that some day the party will be over. Frankly, I couldn't do a thousand years, to say nothing of a billion years of consciousness. Those that covet the idea of eternal life should be careful what they wish for.

I agree with the first answer. I have no problem with the party ending. But I truly hate the idea of "eternal life." And don't even tell me that it would be problem-free. I think Eagle is right; sometimes even consciousness itself seems like a burden.

I donnot fear death. Its part of the circle of life and we must all go through it. Its comforting to know that youre not the only one to go, but friends and family will join you. I just dont want to die young.

I have never minded the idea of dying. I think it's because I have always been so curious to know what happens after you die.

I'm not really rushing the idea, but I'm OK with the concept because I subscribe to the scripture's "absent with the body is present with the Lord" and I look forward to "seeing my Maker face to face" - I sure have a lot of questions for Him or Her - but don't rush, please, Lord!
