Sounds like your CMOS battery is dying.

You can get a new one at a repair shop.

There is a small battery on the motherboard that keeps your BIOS settings, including the time, saved while the computer is turned off. The time being off consistently is a sign that this battery needs to be replaced before your other, more advanced settings are lost. Check your motherboard's website to see where this battery is on the motherboard, and what kind of battery you need to replace it.

You may need to change the watch battery inside the comp. Crack open the case (After you power down and unplug the PC) and look around for a little watch battery. Take it to radio shack and get a replacement. Put new battery in, and turn your pc back on. Set your time and Viola!!! You should be good to go....Good Luck.

Older computers rely on a small battery to keep their clock going when the power is turned off. This may sound like a dumb suggestion to fix a trifling thing like the computer clock, but I think a new computer may be in order.

I've heard of this problem when you run a RedHat Kernel 4 partition on VMWare (VMWare runs on the RedHat 3 Kernel). If this is the case, it would be best to run the server on a stand alone box.
