I'm turning 40 in a couple of months and was looking for some ideas on how to celebrate a milestone birthday with a few close friends. I don't really want to take a far away trip and be away from my children for more than a night but I'm really wanting to do something fun. I am within a 3 hour drive of Lexington KY, Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH and Charleston, WV so info on any fun nightspots or places to celebrate would be appreciated.

For my 40th, my daughter planned a surprise party for me at my favorite restaurant and invited my family and close friends. It was really awesome. Maybe someone is already planning yours. If not.... what about Belterra http://www.belterracasino.com/ or French Lick http://www.frenchlick.com/default_.asp or Paoli Peaks http://www.paolipeaks.com/. Whatever you do, have fun. 40 is the new 30 ya know. ;)

Take your friends to a couple friendly strip club and ask for the birthday dance. Most places will bring you up on stage and have all the girls dance for you.

If you have some extra cash. Rent a limo big enough for your friends and have them take you down town and hit all the night spots. Don't spend more then hour in any one place, unless people start taking their clothes off, then you know you hit the right spot.

A cruise, definitely a cruise. I did a 4 day/4 nite to Bermuda on the QEII for my fortieth and it replaced into dazzling. no count what your accomodations, you would be dealt with like royalty, with a number of of entertainment and activity options, and convenience centers. Did I point out the nutrition? in case you're exceptionally lots spending a while in transit on a cruise, bear in strategies, "getting there is 0.5 the relaxing," and it definitely is on a cruise. And romantic....there is not any longer something extra sensual than watching sundown consisting of your loved one from the deck of a deliver. look at the commute websites for cruise programs and that i wager you will arise with a trip spot which will stay in the memory books.

You could go to a lodge or a resort or cabin with your friends. Ask your friends if they have any ideas.
