I know that sex isn't necessarily a timed event, but generally, how fast is considered too fast? 1 min? 3 min? 5 min? longer? shorter?
I never last very long (usually only a minute or two...), and I just want to get an idea of what is the norm.. Embarrassing!!!!!

ps. this is not counting foreplay. to compensate, i spend a lot of time giving foreplay, it's the act that goes too fast.
also if i receive any foreplay then i could "finish" before even starting....

You need to start having her please you in a different way once you get really close tell her to stop have her do this lots and lots of times. This is called teasing but it also will help you with your problem. You can also do this yourself as well. Make sure she is satisfied before the sex act is performed do not have her touch you or do anything stimulating until she is to the point of worn out. Those two things should help you.

I would say 3 mins is too short, I mean not all women need a lot of time either, when I am alone I get off in less than 5 mins most the time, but if this happens all the time, I wouldnt feel like I was good enough for you. Or like maybe you should take something to make it last longer, why do you think it happens so fast all the time? what makes this happen. maybe try thinking about something weird to make you last longer, idk

I have to agree with CJ on this one. Stopping and starting will really help you. Also, work with your partner to find things that don't stimulate you as much and use them with frequency. I guess that using a ring is okay, though I've never used anything like that before. One technique that I've heard of is to get yourself almost to the point of climax, withdraw, and hold yourself for a few seconds. Then use your hands or mouth or whatever to keep your partner stimulated. Then, get back to work and once again pull out near the point of climax and hold yourself again. You'll find that over time, this will actually help you with your "endurance."

If you just jump right into sex then it's too fast. You need to build up to it. Foreplay is a wonderful tool to use that leads up to sex and could make it lasting, pleasing and very enjoyable.

That's really up to her. If she hates sex, maybe a minute is perfect for her. For most women, if she never gets to have her own orgasm, that's too fast. If you're willing to help her finish after you have, that might be enough to keep her happy.
Have you tried masturbating an hour before to get that first shot over with?

I can sometimes go for a half hour. Then other times I'm done in 30 seconds. It depends on the time and circumstances.
Start and stop a lot. That is, enter into your wife and go at it, and then pull out and stimulate her with your hand. Do this pattern over and over.

Your best bet is to talk to a urologist to determine if what you experience is actually Premature Ejaculation, or if it's just another medical/chemical occurance.
Try using a condom to lessen the sensation, try using two of them. There are also quite a number of desensitizing lotions and gels available. Under 3 minutes is likely going to be considered too fast.

You need to strengthen your muscle that controls your ejaculation. Many men will last about ten minutes to half an hour.
I've been exercising my muscle to the point where I can control my ejaculations. I can last however long she wants me to. Not to brag but I can last for hours.
