I want to make more friends in high school and they seem to like me but there's two different groups I like and don't want to seem closer to one than the other. And if you sit at lunch with one you inevitably look closer to one than the other since thats the only time outside of class you see them. So I'm thinking I just won't go to lunch. Honestly thats the only obstacle with this issue and its caused me a lot of stress so if I just eliminate it by not going to lunch then it shouldn't matter anymore and I can seem like I am as equally friendly with each of them but still kind of a loner because I don't go to lunch. I don't want either to feel rejected because they've all been inviting. I think I'd be happier.

It would be nice to have them all together, but that is not in my place, I'm no leader, I'm very fortunate that they both like me

Once you leave high school you'll realize that real friends aren't offended by the fact that you have friends outside of their clique. I think you maybe reading more into this then it should be. Instead of skipping lunch why not rotate where you sit. Then after you've done that a while sit by yourself and see who joins you. Eating with your best friends from both groups can form a new group all its own.

No, eat your lunch, you need a klunch to be able to do your work well. Why don't you just tell the kids in the two groups as honestly as you have just told all of us? If you honestly like all the kids, there is no reason why you cannot be a part of both those groups. It need not be an "either - or" situation.

Make a friend with someone who is not attached to either group and sit with her/him. Make sure you speak to each of your buddies in the two groups if you see them. Say Hi, girl I am cramming for an exam and I need all the help I can get. I am going to sit with (Susie/Frank) so that I can get some help. Catch you guys later okay.

You need to go to lunch and eat!!! why don't you try to get both groups to be friends? If you can get along with both can't all of you get along? why do you have to keep them seperate? try to get both groups to sit with you. then all can get to know each other.
