I miscarried once and it started with spotting and with my next two pregnancy I spotted till the 12 or 13 week so in the end it was normal for me. Some women do spot for the first couple of months. Is the cramping like when you get your period? Because that is a sign of miscarriage but dull aches and things like that are usually muscle stretching.
Here is what you need to do, lay down have a glass of water, close your eyes and get some rest. Try not to worry. Go to your doctors this afternoon not expecting anything, just try to be calm. Don't think about whether or not it could be a miscarriage. Just keep an open mind and heart.
If you believe in God say a little prayer, like Do what you will and let me be strong about your desicion.
If it is indeed a miscarriage I would like to say that I am sorry for you loss and make sure you grieve enough. And if it is a healthy baby congratulations.

Hi there: it could be all sort of things, but the spotting for about a week does not sound like it would be implantation bleeding. Mind you that I am not a doctor, and you are doing the right thing by going. Consider your age, your gestational period, and any other symptoms that you might have: if you are 35 or older, and also have shoulder pain, you might be having an ectopic pregnancy, and if this is the case, it is best to know than to risk your capacity for future kids.
Most likely it is nothing to worry about too much, but I wish you the best.

It's possible that you are miscarrying. I just went through the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago. They'll do some blood work to check your HcG level (pregnancy hormone) and probably an ultrasound.
BUT, I could be wrong too. There are some women that have had bleeding/spotting in early pregnancy or throughout their whole pregnancy and have gone on to have healthy babies.
I know it's hard to have to wait to find out anything. Just stay relaxed and hope for the best. Good luck to you!

I spotted the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy. I was on pins and needles the whole time worried if I was loosing the little one. He is 2 1/2 years old now. Bleeding is always reason for concern, light pink and brown are usually not a threat. Bright red is not good. You should rely on your doctor to answer these questions and examine you for a more accurate answer. ( which is what you are going to do today)

With my last child I had something very similar happen at 5 weeks along. We had just moved and I was pregnant but didn't know it. Everything turned out fine, and she is 4 and a half now. I had major cramping and spotting, it almost felt like early labor. They put me on bed rest for a few weeks, and although that wasn't fun, it may have worked. Good luck at your appointment today, and Happy New Year!

it could be the ligaments attached to your uterus that are growing causing you to have pain. as for the bleeding, it happens more than you might think it does. as long as it is just spotting and not heavy bleeding just try to relax and take it easy. too much stress is not good for the baby either. on a positive note my last baby was a very hard complicated pregnancy. sever hemorrhaging for the first 5 months or so, but he is a big, healthy 10 month old now. good luck and happy pregnancy.

I really hope every thing is ok for you. Sometimes these things can occur in the first stages of pregnancy and you and baby can be perfectly fine...just be sure that you get to the doctor and keep a watch on the symptoms. I had two beautiful girls and in the beginning of both pregnancys i had my period for the first couple months...with cramping. good luck with you and your baby!!!!

I am glad your going to the doctor should have been there before this but anyhow to me it sounds like a ectopic. I have had 4 of them myself it's not fun, but the thing about them is to caught them earlier. Might not be anything to worry about the only way to know for sure is see that doc. Good luck

You dont feel pain from a tubal pregnancy until you're atleast 10 weeks pregnant. Up until that point the baby is too small to cause irritation.
Spotting and cramping are both normal with early pregnancy. Unless your bleeding its nothing to worry about.
You'll be fine.
