Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory- even Black people.
I guess he is somewhat of a cultural icon, but as a Black person, I'm not sure why Tupac is ours. Maybe it is in response to the fact that most people think that he died so young yet had so much promise and potential (witness the number of hits released post-humously).

Well, I think you pretty much answered your own question when you called him the "black Elvis" You might ask the same question why do so many people, especially whites continue to think that Elvis Presley is still alive?, Because he became so much of an icon for them, they just don't want him to be dead. LOL

i think he may be alive becausehe always has an album coming out, and it doesnt have old songs its brand new fresh songs that they claim he made.. please.. they talking about how he was in the studio 24/7 how about eating sleeping and doing other things. and if u listen to the songs some of the words seem like he is still alive.
that why i believe he may be still alive
