I think that the names are BEAUTIFUL. And I love the fact that you are going with your ethnic origin. Being true to oneself is priceless, and very meaningful. Go with your heart's desire...remember this is YOUR baby.

Both are beautiful names.

Keep in mind that your child will be living with whatever choice you make. It's best to think ahead and ask basic questions.

Can my child get teased with this name? Will my child be harrassed because of this name? Will this name hurt or help my child get a job?

Good luck with the baby!

I'm sure they are nice in Muslim culture but they will not fit in in America... do your kids a favor and use those as middle names and use something a bit more mainstream for the first name.

I'm not trying to belittle your religion, just trying to help your kids in the future. If things continue as they have been, they will be automatically black-balled from certain jobs, clubs, etc for having such obviously arabic names.

Well they are good names, and if both of you like them, then that should settle the matter. All the best to you!

let me predict the future:

you will give birth to a son an may 26th and his name will be Zaydaan. He will grow into a hansom man full of courage, wisdom, and intellect. He will marry a beautiful girl, and have 4 children, and die at the age of 89.

You should go for either of them. I love it. One of the best part of having a baby is being able to name it yourself...what beautiful names you have come up with. COngrats!

I like the way they sound, but if you're in America, the kids might have trouble as they get older, with spelling, teasing and such.

Have you consider varying them to make them easier to spell and say? Such as Zaydan (removing one a) and Hayfa (removing the h)?

Also, no offense, but Hayfah makes me think of hay fever...

The boys name is great, but the girls no. What if she's a chubby little thing. That would be kinda weird.

The boys name is really nice but I am not quite sure about the girls name. If they are truly what you want for him/her then go for it!
