As in will one attack/eat the other if I put them in the same tank? I have this pretty big aquarium, and currently I only have 3 goldfish in it. I want to buy about a dozen neon fish and probably half a dozen more goldfish, and I just want to know if they will attack each other if I do that.

No, neons and almost all other tetras are shoaling fish that do best with others of the same species.

Please keep in mind that goldfish get very large, 12+ inches and for each fish you'll need to have 50 gallons of water as adults.

Additionally goldfish prefer cool water and neons need warm water so they aren't a good fit for each other.

no andusually before you buy fish there are codes on the tanks like color coded to where you can mix what fish and all and which ones are okay to go with each othere and do not that way you dont mix or you can ask an associate but i had gold fish and neons together because they do not huirt the other them are actually 2 of the most least aggressive fissh there are and all
gulpies are okay also there are alot but you make sure you look at codes and so the neons do not get ate and all okay good luck.

appears like my tank! My temp is 76 ranges fahrenheit. I even have distinctive pretend plant life and ornaments that the fish can swim by way of and canopy in. I even have: neon tetras (very much less extreme priced yet beautiful) a million algae eater (or pleco) white cloud tetras (additionally very much less extreme priced and coffee upkeep) black neon tetras zebra danios 4 mollies (3 women persons, a million male-greater effective severe upkeep and procreate an undesirable lot lol) a million albino catfish-this and the algae eater save the tank sparkling. drift the bags with the mild on indoors the tank for 5-10 minutes. upload water out of your tank a litle at a time and then purely flip it distinctive way up so as that they are indoors the water. all the above fish consume broadly used tropical flake meals, inspite of the indisputable fact that i opt to advise algae wafers for the algae eater/catfish. Any questions touch me!

Neons are pretty and, given space, will outpace goldfish. Still, they ARE food for the bigger fish. No, they won't fight. The neons will just be fodder for the goldies.

you shouldn't mix them. Goldfish prefer unheated water, and neons require a heated tank.
