Read newspapers and magazines.Read books and watch the news channels.Use a good dictionary and try to learn a new word everyday, use that word in conversation and find out its antonyms and synonyms.Whenever u hear a new word, look up its meaning in the dictionary.Also try solving crossword puzzles and other word games.Scrabble is a good game. Try all these and u will definitely succeed in increasing your vocabulary. good luck.

Use new words everyday.
find words that you want to learn. Use a Theseus.
Find the meaning and apply though word into sentences
increasing a word a day

you could have a large vocabulary by next year

i think by being with the right people who have a good vocabulary!one can always read thru books n improve dem!but i guess worsds which are unknown 2 us can b well known by listening 2 other people say it!

Read newspaper and magazine articles on a regular basis. (not tabloids and gossip mags) In general try to read more books on varied topics and begin using the new words in your conversations...a few at a time.

in some bookstores, they will have a wall of books that will have ACT books, stories that have ACT words in them and the defintions at the bottom. or you could always read the dictionary.

I would suggest that you get index cards and on one side place the word and on the other side put down the definition and just continuaully test yourself.
