well im in high school thinking of doing medicine but i hav no clue where to go. i am in TZ rite now.i have heard it takes longer in the west to do medicine.is this true?any advice otherwise is also appreciated.thanks :)

In the US, you will need a bachelor´s degree before applying to medical school. Bachelor´s degrees usually take 4 years to complete and medical school lasts another 4 years resulting in a total of 8 years to get a medical degree. In Canada, you could apply for a 3 year bachelor´s degree that would result in 7 years to complete a medical degree. Tuition fees for medical school are usually very high and only residents and citizens of that country are eligible for financial aid. There are always exceptions, and scholarships may be available for excellent international applicants. It´s important to keep in mind that some US medical schools don´t accept international applicants, and the ones that do only accept applicants who have completed a bachelor´s degree from the US or Canada. These regulations are what makes medicine a not so easy choice for international students; however, many international students have graduated from medical schools in the US and Canada and the rewards are plenty. Salaries for medical doctors in the US and Canada are among the highest for professionals in both countries, not to mention prestige and opportunities for growth, research and development.
If you choose to study medicine in your country, you can always apply for post-graduate programs in the US or internships and residencies. In Norway, larger education is loose and global scholars receive promises. i'd extremely bypass there any day than pay for the ridiculous quantities you pay interior the U.
