make sure the valve is working first , then look under your bonnet look at the back of the bulkhead you will see the heator water hoses going in though the bulkhead with the heator on full and engine running feel both hoses they should both be hot if only one is hot the matrix is blocked , or the valve is not opening( be careful that you keep clear of any belts or pullys when checking with engine running

Has it just stopped? or have you had some work done on the car? if you have drained the cooling system for any reason you may have an air lock.with the car running park the car on a steep bank for five mins,park it facing up then down,this some times clears an air lock,if you havnt drained the system you will need to replace the matrix,take it to a garage its not a nice job to do.

The only option available to you is to change it !
make sure that it is the matrix though and not the fact that your head gasket is on it`s way out !( sometimes the heating go`s cold when the gasket is ready to go )

turn the red switch to the pause wait 5 secs now hesres where it gets complicated stick out your tongue and say imastupidadorker and wait 7 secs now with your other right hand say wah wah wah 6 times and then drop your drawers and fart this allows the brain to engage and synchronise the henway turn the muffler bearing 3 turns to the left and pull instant heat
