For the time they were at their peaks they were all NUMBER ONE.. Each has contributed to British Music to such a degree it is impossible to pick a number one out of any of these, though the weakest in talent would for me be the Rolling Stones, but they keep going

Depends how you define "talent" I suppose. Queen were simply awesome live, probably the best out of all of them. But The Beatles changed the face of popular culture forever. The Stones pretty much do standard songs, but they pull it off with a fervour no one else can muster. Pink floyd took the Beatles idea of a "concept album" and ran with it, to places no one will probably ever be able to match. The Eagles are probably the least favourite on that list, but some of their song writing is incredible. So.....
I think really all anyone can do is list those groups in order of their favourites, because (as a lot of people have already pointed out) each of them were unique and brilliant in their own way.
