My parents no longer want their timeshare and a yearly maintance fee is coming up soon, is there any way to get rid of the time share, they don't mind not gaining anything from either donating it or selling it, but just to get rid of it.

The timeshare is located a few miles from disney world as I recall.
If my maintance fee is due soon, would I have to take care of that, or as soon as we submit the donation form, they would be encharge of it?
