love is when you unconditionaly have feeling for someone. its when you would do anything to make her happy no matter what it took. when she has hurt herself even if it is a sprained ankel, or she is in the hospital you will travel to where she is just to be with her. when you stare into her eyes and you know that she is the one that you want to be with for the rest of your life. when other people think that she may be ugly and you think that she is just the upmost beautiful person that you have ever met. when you dont care what someone says about her. when you have sex with her it's not just to please you, you do it to please her, and when you make love it means something. that is what love is.

i don't think anyone can anwser that honestly! All people's opinions of that subject is different. Some think it is a feeling or some say its a sensation, or even an idea. Some say its lust not love. "Love" is one of the most controvorsial subjects on our planet. A hopeless romantic would say love is what its all is for. I say its a diversion against the real world. And everyone needs to be distracted for the world some times

Love is the willingness to put aside what you perceive as your own personal betterment in favor of making someone else's life better.
The greatest of love is laying down ones life for another.
Love overlooks all past wrongs and forgives anything ever done.
Love is patient, kind, gentle, persevering, truthful, not envying, not proud, not boastful, slow to become angry, not rude, not selfseeking, and always hoping.
Love is an action, not a feeling. Love is a choice, not tied to beauty, personality, or reciprocated love.
And that's just a little bit of what love is. :-)

The ability to forget or even sacrifice self for the sake of another. Since self is the root cause for all pain and troubles, love proves to be a bliss!!

Bottom line? Love is a "verb." It is action. It is the impetus behind every act of creation.
The opposite of love is not hate. It's apathy.

A really simple answer would be the absence of hate. You determine that when you think about your actions.
