Yes, Yahoo allows you to write web logs, for doing that, first you need to go to http://360.yahoo.com and make a page then you can start your blog in there
To get more visitors, if you use 360, you can add your friends to your 360 and then hope that they will read your blog, you can tell your friends about it, add it to search engines and etc but the best thing to do is, writing useful things and writing them good, so when someone saw your web log, s/he came back later to read your new posts.

You can use other free web logs too, I suggest Blogger which is a part of Google you can access it by clicking the link below

There are lots of free blog sites. wordpress.com is pretty good. When I started a blog there, my entries were able to be found on google within days. You don't need to have a website to start a blog there; you will get a sub-domain address like yourname.wordpress.com and will get to pick from different blog templates. There are tons of other sites that offer free blogs like that as well if you don't want to use that one. Just google "free blog sites" or something like that.

Yes, Yahoo can help. Go to Yahoo's 360 and start there. There is a blog as part of 360.

I use Live Journal (livejournal.com) - it's nicer than Myspace because it isn't full of angsty fourteen year olds. Of course, if you're an angsty fourteen year old, I recommend you try Myspace (myspace.com I expect). Live Journal is good - it's free (unless you want to pay for extra features that aren't at all essential) and you can post with different security levels too: for example, have some things public, other things that only your friends can see, other things that only you can see. You can also post photos and stuff - it's a great way of staying in touch with friends and family who don't live near enough to see you regularly. It's nice and easy to use, and Lj also has communities for discussion of whatever interests you - there are groups for every band and film and tv programme and actor and singer you could name, as well as every hobby under the sun. Good luck!
