Harry and Voldemort will both die (among many others). Can you imagine the series ending with either of them alive? Voldemort has to die because he's the bad guy, and Harry wouldn't have anything to do with the rest of his life, so as a character in a book, he has to die as well. If he lives, he'd just be depressed and it would leave the reader extremely sad along with him. I suppose that it's sad whether he lives or dies, but there's more closure if both Harry and Voldemort die.

first i would like to add that harry is not a horcrux(mentioned by brooke and dqlover)... the piont of a horcrux is to carry apiece of ur soul, also making it harder to die. its exactly what voldemort did, but he also went to see the potters with intentions that harry would die and that he would be the one to kill him... that didn't work out, so he attempted to kill harry another 4 times, HP&SS- he tryed killing him with quarrel attached, HP&COS- he tryed killing harry with his past self and basilisk, HP& GOF- was in the graveyard, instead only one died instead of 2, HP&OOTP- he attempted to kill harry in the ministry of magic. Now givin these examples tell me, if harry was a horcrux, why would voldemort go through so much trouble to try and kill what would be a piece of himself ??

I think one person to die would be snape, becuz one he did a job that was not his, the job was givin to draco that he would kill dumbledor instead it was snape who killed him. Two bcuz since it was snape and not draco who did the job, draco would have to pay voldemort with his life. three snape made a bind with dracos mother to protect draco against anything. the conclusion: becuz draco didn't kill dumbledor like voldemort said to, voldemort will be mad and try to kill draco and becuz of the magical bind snape has to protect him, if snape doens't protect him and draco gets hurt or killed the bind will kill snape also, if snape does choose to protect him then he has to fight voldemort i don't think snape will have a chance... the only way that he would live is if he kills the person who chanted the bind, cuz as in the last book out half blood prince harry was able to move cuz dumbledor was dead, the spell was lifted cuz the conjurer was killed. so i think snape is dead.

another person would be either hermione cuz she would sacrafise herself for ron or harry, or it would be ron to sacrafice himself for hermione or harry, or wormtail becuz he owes a life dept to harry.

i don't think harry will die, it would be to obvious and expecting for the main charactor to die although i think voldemort will be dead by the end of book 7. if u say that the book series can be continued if harry is alive, it really can't be continued if the villan is dead. there would be no point, so ithink harry stays alive and voldemort dies.
