My best friend doesn't either. She goes to bed at 11:00 on New Year's Eve. She won't even stay up to see the ball drop!

I never enjoyed new years eve either because there is always so much hype and pressure to do something fun and special - I enjoy it now because I dont care what I do or where I go, as long as there is alcohol and I am in good company. Once the pressure is gone, I find I have so much more fun

not that i hate it. but i've always been single during the holidays and i don't have anyone to spend it with the traditional way. i knw i cld hang out with friends at parties but the fact that i will be singled out when midnight strikes makes me juz want to stay home. i happen to make do being alone, making myself a sumptuous xmas dinner last wkend and actually enjoyed being able to rest and relax and have a peaceful xmas so now i am doing it again this New Year weekend.

I really like New Years Eve. We always have a huge party to go to and it's lots of fun and we have way to much to drink (our hosts live across the street so we don't do any driving). We have fireworks and cook out, etc. Sorry you don't like it.

I will agree people make too big a deal out of it. Just another reason to party. Ive always asked why is it a holiday? It has no religious or historical signifcance, its just another day.

lots of people don't like new year's eve. i know that some day my brother will not like it,(when he is a lot older)because his birthday is new year's day. me personally i love new years eve. i love it when all the drunk people do stupid, yet funny stuff.

No. Its one of these over hyped days that make you feel like junk if you have no one to spend it with. Its just a day that will pass any day now.

I don't care about it one way or the other. I don't really drink or party much so I'm usually home and go to bed early.
