the Claire's person told me to keep my starter earrings in for 8 weeks before changing. Supposedly you're supposed to wait a little longer to wear dangly ones. How long?

the person didn't tell me how much longer to wait to wear dangly ones, just to wait 8 weeks in general.

Actually, you can wear dangly earrings after the 8 weeks. It worked for me. Just make sure that you wear really light dangly earrings instead of heavy ones. Then you can gradually get heavier with the earrrings.

I have never heard that about dangly earrings before! If the earrings you want to wear are lightweight, you should have no problem wearing them after the 8-week healing period is up. I know that when I got my ears pierced when I was a kid, I actually took the starter set out after only about 3 weeks, because I just couldn't wait anymore. I wouldn't recommend doing that, because I got a raging infection in one of my ears, but there was no permanent damage and my ear-holes healed up just fine. I guess my point is that as long as you wait the prescribed amount of time before taking out the starter set, you should be able to wear whatever kind of earrings you want.

I started wearing dangly earrings 9 weeks after I got my ears peirced, but I started with really small ones and once I was used to those I started wearing longer and longer ones.

I was told to wait 9 weeks. Then start off with smaller dangly earrings. Then slowly ween to bigger dangly earrings.

i got my ears pierced yesterday 2 times in both ears, but i have had them pierced b4, i waited 6 weeks b4 changing them(they were in the lobe). Nah u can put dangly ones in, it feels funny at first because your ears arent use to the weight, but you get use to it.

wear dangly earrings that are clip-on. youre wearing them while waiting for it to heal. waiting to heal usually takes no more than two months.

i waited 8 weeks to start wearing any othe kind of earring other then my pure silver studs. i would wait until your ears are a lot more healed. i waited for at least three monthes (but that was because my mommy said i couldn't). don't jump straight from the studs to the danglers.......you could hurt yourself.

i have had my ears pierced for almost 10 months....be careful with ears cuz mine ive had trouble with them tons of times. If i were you I would leave them in for even longer than 9 weeks cuz your ears still have to form a hole you kno. Be careful with your ears cuz i hated it when i had problems with them. Good luck!!

you definately want to wait until they are healed. if not...you could be taking a chance of having them ripped and that is not very attractive.
