Excellent question. I'm sure you will receive many, varied answers.
The biblical heaven is a perfect place where everyone lives in harmony. There is no conflict. Your "way in" will be as a result of how you live your physical life here. Post Judgment Day.
Now. Would I like to go to a place described thus? I think not. No conflict whatsoever would not only be incredibly boring but would create a form of Alzheimer's, in my humble opinion. If there is nothing to create or do, I personally believe this would be hell.
My heaven is internal, rather than some external place of a perceived ultimate reward. It is my personal contentment with the fact that I am a creative human being. That I am capable of handling anything that comes my way - be it good or bad. In short, my heaven is my reality.

Heaven is where the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob lives. He is also the God of the Jews and Christians. It is a place that followers of Jesus go to live for all eternity after they die in this world. Heaven is a place of love, a place of peace, a place where there is no sadness or tears. Heaven is a resting place, a place of joy, happiness, and all things beautiful and good. It is a place where the Spirit of the Lord lives, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.

My Vision Of Heaven
I think of all
in this world
that I have not seen
nor will see
before I die.
My vision of heaven
is my soul
released from this body
set free to fly
to explore all there is to see
that I have never seen
that I have never even thought to see
now that I am spirit
spirit set free
to fly to every star
if I pleased
to fly inside the bark of tree
and watch the sap descend to the roots
in the Fall
to fly to the bottom of the Dead Sea
to fly on the Jet Stream
like some magic carpet
to fly at the speed of imagination
to where ever I want
and to have eternity
simply to explore the wonder
and wherever I fly
whatever I see
like a wondrous child
being shown all things by a smiling Father
say,
"Wow! Wow! God!"

Heaven is an invention exploited by various individuals for various purposes. One common purpose has been to exploit others for free, promising them heaven, while the exploiters had easy lives on the back of those who were hoping for heaven while suffering on earth. Example: the Vatican. The other use of heaven for exploitation and manipulation is what Al Qaeda does, pursuing their ideaology on the back of those dumb enough to blow themselves off hoping they will get heaven. That's about it. There is no heaven other than what everyone imagines.

I guess no one walking the earth can say, although in referring to the Bible, Heaven is a blissful kingdom where our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Angels reside. We too, are promised afterlife either in Heaven or on Paradise Earth.

Heaven is merely a mythical place created to lure followers to certain religions, as a reward for their faithfulness, and giving the religious leaders their money.
All religion is the result of man's fear of death and his inability to explain his existence.
It's the most successful business in history and is still alive and well today.
Witness the Vatican and their billions, and phonies like Pat Robertson and his kind, who promise you eternal life if you send him your money and do what he says, and burning in the fires of a mythical place called hell if you don't follow what he preaches.
All religions prey on you, and insult your intelligence in every way possible. It's utter and complete nonsense, and only those brain washed from childhood could buy into it.
Some things we just don't know, and it's perfectly alright not to know.

Heaven is a state of being which transcends and interpenetrates the material world. You can think of it like this sort of like the rainbow:
Different colors of light are created when particles (photons) vibrate at different speeds. Visible light is part of the bigger spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. If you slow down the speed of the vibrations, you get infra-red (heat), microwaves, and radio waves. If you speed them up, you get ultraviolet rays, x-rays, gamma rays, etc.
Matter works the same way. At slow speed, the particles seem solid, at higher speed they become liquids, then gasses.
Spirit follows the same principle. At low vibration, it exists as a phsyical being. At higher speeds, it exists as energy. At even higher speed it exists as space. At the highest speed, it transcends space and becomes part of God, who is the unity of all the vibrating particles. This is heaven.
As physical beings, we're conditioned to believe that our consciousness only exists inside our heads. In reality, there is a level of spiritual consciousnes beyond that. That consciousness can merge back into the Universal Mind of God in Heaven. It's possible to become aware of that higher consciousness while your'e alive on Earth, but few people do so.

As a christian myself, I was brought up on this idea of heaven in which I believe:
Heaven, is the place you go after you die, If you were a believer in God, no matter what you have done in life, if you asked God for you forgiveness or repented before you died, you are admitted into heaven. For those who know the story of Noah's Ark, know that at the end of the 40 day and night rain, God provided the rainbow, as a sign that he would never again destroy the earth with water. When Jesus Christ rose again on Easter after his crusifixtion, he promised he would come back for his people. For those who believed in him. He also said on his day of coming back all those who didnt believe would be left behind, and would have to suffer under satan's reign for 1,000 years. And the only way then into heaven would be by beheading. After those 1,000 years, there will be a judgement day. Where you will be trialed for your life, what you did right and wrong. Before death, all those who said from their hearts that he was Lord, would be forgiven, and entered into heaven. Those who still even after the 1,000 year reign did not accept Jesus as saviour would be sentenced to eternity in hell. Heaven is the ultimate reward for salvation. It is the most beautiful place in the universe, made of solid gold, and diamonds where you would worship God for eternity. And will be the only exitance of life, after death, besides hell. And as for earth, after the reign of satan, God will bind him in chains, and put him back in hell for eternity, and earth will be destroyed not by water, but by fire, as Jesus promised.
