Socrates once said...

"The only thing i truly know is that i know nothing..."

The minute you think you know everything, you won't want to learn anymore...

Just because we think we know it all doesn't necessarily mean that we do know it all. In life you can never stop learning and in reality everything that you need to know you already know. Its like that quote that states that when you look for the diamond necklace you will realize that it was on your neck the whole time. Life is that way, you will go search for answers throughout the whole world and then you will realize that the answer was in your heart all along. Have you ever read the story "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, it is the perfect example of finding answers deep within ourselves. I don't think you can ever stop learning because the moment that we think we know it all we will realize that there are things that we have forgotten or mistakes that will still come even though we know it all.

Deep question. I believe that, in LIFE, we may never know it all. I also believe that NO ONE can even attempt to say they know it all without knowing that they are indeed full of sh**.

It is my belief, that we are on this Earth to learn as much as possible to prepare us for what comes after. Science seeks to understand all things. Philosophy is very much the same but from a different angle. Then consider Math, Religion, Mysticism, Mythology, and every other form of mental masturbation.

Maybe in the next world we will have a chance to know it all but not here. Even the comatose patient continues to learn if only about his own psyche.

Short answer, yes.

Most people believe that once they know it all, they stop learning. However, in my opinion I think that a person can never stop learning. For example, a person can acknowledge all the knowledge about the basics involving education but they don't know how to support themselves in protecting herself; a person can know about life but don't know about the afterlife. Learning never ends and it shouldn't because there is always something new to learn because everyone is your teacher including life.

Yes.
And the moment we stop learning, we stop living.

Yes..... even more so..... the moment we think we know, we stop learning. We learn only when we are aware that we do not know.

One who thinks he knows it all, not only stops learning but also stops living, because life is indeed a continuous lesson!!

No hopefully the moment one thinks he knows everything someone will point out they are really a dumbass for thinking they know everything, and then the person learns he is indeed a dumbass. And so the learning begins again...

Of course not. The moment one thinks he knows it all is a fool. Just ask the person who knows it all -- how many hairs are on his head.Or who ask him a question about the future. Who will win the super bowl? It will be obvious no one knows it all. We are finite beings. We are limited. There are two kinds of people in the world. Those that are fools who think they are wise. and those that are wise who knows they are fools.

Most people have stopped learning, but in my case, I finished.

Every thought is a judgement, a conclusion of sort, and therefore the process of learning is closed.
