My PS2 isn't letting me press the Reset or Open/Close buttons.... I don't want to replace anything... I need to fix it.... I want to be able to reset/open the system without the button PLEASE HELP ME be able to play my games again!

My PS2 isn't letting me press the Reset or Open/Close buttons.... I don't want to replace anything... I need to fix it.... I want to be able to reset/open the system without the button... The buttons are still out.... and I need to fix the ribbon attached to the buttons.... how would I do that? PLEASE HELP ME be able to play my games again!

Good luck man...I would bring it in to be fixed or wait for the ps3 to come out. If you have a disc in already, then it isn't possible to get to the PS2 menu page because the disc will always load automatically. Or, you might end up having to buy the remote control accessory...shouldn't be more than 20 bucks.

Mine did that too. The button sucked in, right? With ours, when that happened, we just put something on top of it to keep it closed. Like that square box thing. Then we took it off and opened it with our fingers. We have the really flat one. I am not sure how to fix the reset. Is the light still on?

Stand up, walk outside and find something constructive to do. You are spending way too much time with your PS2.

buy the remote control for it and try that...
